South African High Commission

It is a great honour to be at your service whether you are planning to visit South Africa, are keen to pursue economic interests in South Africa or are interested in the activities of the High Commission, we hope that you find the information useful.

The High Commission subscribes to “Batho Pele” (Putting People First) and to the principles of “Ubuntu,” placing humanity at the centre of all our activities, in particular, the provision of service to our clients. The execution of our work takes place within the broader context of bilateral engagement between South Africa and New Zealand as well as the following Pacific Island countries, Fiji, Samoa, Vanuatu and the Cook Islands wherein our efforts remain directed at contributing towards the creation of a better South Africa for all who live in it.

The High Commission provides the following services to its clients: consular, civic (passport & identity
document applications etc.) and immigration (visa applications). Kindly take note that the High Commission can only be accessed by way of appointment only. A new electronic appointment booking system for civic services has been implemented with a view to ensuring that the previously experienced challenge of reaching the High Commission through its office contact line is addressed.

We kindly request that you take time to familiarise yourself with the website and in particular the consular/civic/immigration page where the appointments link is located and your frequently asked questions are answered, forms and all related information is made available.

Last but not least, to those who seek to explore our country, the South African High Commission wishes to advise that South Africa remains a premier tourism destination characterised by youthfulness, beautiful wildlife, pristine beaches and breath-taking scenery, vibrant cultural and heritage offerings, unique cuisine, exciting adventure, an amazing climate and, a people collectively invested in providing you with your best experience yet.
